No doubt when you read the title of this article, suggesting that to win back your ex boyfriend you should date someone else, you thought it sounded like a crazy idea. After all, shouldn't you do the opposite? Shouldn't you let him know how much he means to you instead of doing something that makes him think you don't care? Well, read on before you decide it's the wrong thing to do.
The natural reaction to being dumped by someone you are still in love with is to beg them to take you back. You panic at the thought of losing them and so you chase after them hoping to entice them back into the relationship. You want to grab him back before he heads off with someone else and remind him you're still as wonderful as he once thought you were.
The first thing you need to do is take a deep breath and get a reality check. First, he's not going to forget you, even if he's dating someone else. Trust me if you once had a good relationship, he remembers. And there may be a way back, but it's not through the begging and pleading routine.
So you need to take a break from the relationship. Completely. Let him do whatever it is he thinks he needs to do. Do not contact your ex boyfriend and let him think about what he's done, while you're thinking about it too.
Once you've made the decision to take this time away from your ex boyfriend, it'll get easier. The next step is to put on your best outfit, call up your friends and go out and have some fun. Focus on having a good time and don't fall prey to the temptation to call your ex.
You may even meet someone you might consider dating. Don't hesitate thinking you really just want to win back ex boyfriend. Remember, you're taking a break, you're not in that relationship for the moment and you're free to date. If you think you can go out and have some fun with this new person, go ahead and do it!
Tell your new friend that you're not ready for anything serious because you just broke up with your ex boyfriend and that you really like him and just want to have some fun. He'll totally understand.
Don't do this to make your ex boyfriend jealous. Do it to have fun and take your mind off the problems in your old relationship. Be clear about this in your mind so that you don't let it get in the way of getting to know your new friend.
And who knows, you might just find out that this new guy is really nice. Spending time with him may make you realize that things with your ex boyfriend weren't so great after all. This break from the old relationship will help you feel how you really feel and be a real way to win back ex boyfriend.
